What is the SEEN Access Status Card?
It’s a card that lets you be recognized and supported without explaining your disability again and again. Show it at participating businesses, called SEENergy Partners, for discounts and respectful service.
Who can apply?
At launch, residents of British Columbia with an approved Canadian government disability designation. For example: BC PWD designation, the Disability Tax Credit, CPP Disability, the Canada Disability Benefit, Veterans disability benefits, Indigenous disability programs, or another approved Canadian disability assistance program.
Do you collect my medical information?
No. We never collect diagnoses, medical records, treatment plans, or clinical files.
To verify your eligibility, we review your disability designation and may confirm it with the government program, with your permission. Once you’re verified, we delete the documents and keep only the designation type, number, and verification status.
Is this a government card?
No. SEEN Access Status Card Inc. is an independent BC company, built by and for persons with disabilities. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Government of BC or the Government of Canada.
SEEN adds to your access. It does not replace your legal rights.
Where can I use it?
At SEENergy Partners: businesses that have agreed to honour the card. We’re starting on Commercial Drive in East Vancouver and growing from there. Each partner sets its own discount or service, so benefits vary by location.
How much does it cost?
Pricing will be announced at launch. Join the waitlist to hear first.
People who take part in SEEN | Firstlight receive a free year of base membership when the full program launches.
What about my support person or service animal?
We’re developing SEENsitive Supports, a companion card that recognizes the people and the support and service animals who help you.
How is my privacy protected?
We collect only what we need to run SEEN. You control what your profile shows. We never sell your personal information.
What is SEEN | Firstlight?
Our free community pilot on Commercial Drive. It brings together 150 adults and local businesses offering discounts and specialty services. It launches December 3, 2026, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
